Phini village is located in the Troodos Mountains near the springs of the river Dhiarizos, meaning this picturesque village has a great range of seasonal flowers and wild vegetation near the riverbanks, as well as many beautiful features associated with traditional Cypriot Villages.
The 8-metre-tall Chantara Waterfall is a must-see and is easily accessible through a short dirt road, which stops a few meters from the waterfall, or you can also park in the village and make a walk of it (about 4km there and back). Situated in the middle of the countryside, you can enjoy the wonderful scents of pine, plane and
strawberry trees, golden oaks, sage, lavender and more.
The village is renowned for its pottery (the history of which goes back for centuries) and stopping off at Sofronia’s Phini Pottery shop is a must.
After exploring the village, waterfall and pottery delights, the Phini Tavern is the perfect stop-off for some excellent Cypriot cuisine.
